Gareth Jones is a founding teacher at Halcyon London International School. At Halcyon he co-wrote the schools mathematics and science programme and he designed the pastoral programme in line with the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Programme. He currently holds the post of author and examiner for the new International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Programme Interdisciplinary eAssessment. Originally from North Wales, Gareth acquired an undergraduate degree and PGCE from the University of Leeds and then completed a Masters in International Education at the University of Bath. At the University of Bath Gareth received a distinction for his research into why schools choose the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Programme. Over the past decade Gareth has worked in schools in as varied settings as Tanzanian and Rwandan state schools to IB World Schools in Zambia and London.
