Hana Kanan is the currently the Director of International Academy Amman, in Amman, Jordan, a post which she has held since 2009. International Academy is an IB World School accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). Hana has also held Directorships in other international schools in the UAE, Indonesia, and Qatar. Hana received her Doctor of Education from Teachers College at Columbia University in May 2002. She also has degrees from Birzeit University and Jordan University, and speaks English, French, and Arabic. In addition to being a Board member of CIS, and the President of the Middle East IB Association (MEBA), she is also a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS),and ISS (International School Services).
