The conference will be held at the World Forum in The Hague, Netherlands and for the first time it is being held concurrently with the IBAEM regional conference which will also be held at the World Forum.
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Thursday, October 29. The conference will officially open Thursday afternoon with a keynote and the conference will end Saturday, October 31 with an evening cocktail for conference participants.
IB Heads World Conference participants will also be able to attend the IBAEM regional conference sessions on Sunday, November 1 at no extra charge.
Travel and City info
Nearest airports to The Hague are Amsterdam Schiphol or Rotterdam The Hague. Trains, trams and buses are a great way to get around and services are efficient. Den Haag Central is the closest station. Once you’re in The Hague, we recommend hiring a bike to get around… it’s the Dutch way!
Should you require a visa for your trip a visa support letter can be downloaded from the IB online registration system by the IB coordinator once the registration has been confirmed.
Getting to The Hague
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the largest airport in the Netherlands and serves many countries. It has its own train station, with direct trains to The Hague several times per hour. The journey is between 30 and 40 minutes.

We recommend that you travel to Den Haag Centraal – the Dutch name for The Hague Central. Den Haag HS, another train station, is close to the city centre as well.
To plan your journey in advance, you can use 9292. As well as train times, it provides the platform number the train will leave from.
For tickets, please visit the self-service ticket machines or ticket office at Schiphol Airport. You may wish to buy an ov-chipkaart, which can be loaded with funds and then used on trains, trams and buses throughout the Netherlands.
You can also fly to Rotterdam The Hague Airport, and take a taxi from there to The Hague. The airport’s website lists their routes and has further information on getting around the Netherlands once you land there.
Getting around The Hague
The Hague’s tram system serves the whole city, including its train stations and the conference venue. For up-to-date guidance on tram routes, please use 9292. You can input any address, including that of your hotel.
